I made the switch ...
16th Oct 06After many hours of "wanting" the D2x to work properly, I gave up and switched to Canon. I hired a EOS 1D Mk IIN with a 70-200 f/2.8 for the weekend, and the results were fantastic - even better that when I had the D1x.
The Canon kit seems far more solid, and the focussing speed of the 70-200 is amazingly fast. I thought the Nikkor 70-200 AFS was quick, but boy, the Canon lens knocks spots off the Nikkor!
All the Nikon kit is going, and will be replaced with a 1D MkIIN and "L" series lenses. As the picture library from this camera builds up, I'll post the images here.
